Peer Engagement Coaches

The mission of a Peer Engagement Coach (PEC) is to "meet you where you are at" to help you navigate how to get involved and how to use your involvements in a more flexible and individualized setting.  Our trained PEC’s can also advise students about how to leverage their involvements in pursuit of their future career.  We value engagement and believe that getting involved outside the classroom supports leadership development, student success, and retention.    Employers are looking for students with demonstrated leadership and we can help gain the experience to get there.

To meet one on one with a PEC or to inquire about hosting a PEC workshop, make an appointment HERE.

How can we help guide you to success?

PEC’s are available to meet with students one-on-one to discuss:

  • Finding a student organization
Satisfying Learning Beyond the Classroom (LBC) credit

  • Navigating through EagleSync and the campus calendar

  • Participation in leadership programs (e.g. Leadershape, Emerging Leaders Series)

  • Developing a Co-Curricular Engagement Record

PEC’s will also host developmental workshops in Res Halls, organization meetings, etc. on topics such as:

  • “Translating Student Involvement to My Resume”

  • “Benefits of Student Engagement.”

  • "Student Organization Matching Service"

  • More as requested!
