Biography: Michael Brown earned his LLMSW from EMU and a B.S. in community development and urban planning from University of New Hampshire. He has worked at EMU since 2007 as lead academic advisor in the College of Health and Human Services and advised students on academic probation within the Coordinated Student Advising Team. He's also been an adjunct instructor for the School of Social Work since 2011. He's a certified HIV counselor and works contractually with Washtenaw County Public Health.  Being a first generational student himself, he enjoys assisting students with navigating the university and helping them understand and achieve their full academic potential.

 Biography: As a proud alumna of Eastern Michigan University herself, Sarah is proud to serve EMU students as an Arts & Sciences academic advisor. She has several years of experience in advising and has worked extensively with English language learners (previously in the ESL Office in CAS) and international students. She believes that all students are dynamic learners and is passionate about helping each student get the most out of their college experience based on their individual goals. When she isn’t working with EMU students, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Biography: As a first-generation college student who transferred from community college, Raechel knows how important perseverance and support are to student success. She has a passion for helping students achieve their academic, professional and personal goals. She completed her undergrad degree in psychology and anthropology at Henry Ford Community College and University of Michigan-Dearborn and a master's in college student personnel from Bowling Green State University. Biography: Amber began her career at EMU as a Graduate Assistant in the UACDC while pursuing her graduate degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs. She moved to Francine Parker as a full time advisor in Jan 2016. Since becoming part of the College of Arts and Science team she has enjoyed getting to know the faculty and building relationships with her students. In her spare time Amber volunteers as an alumna advisor for her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, as he she is a firm believer that academics and campus involvement play an equal part in a successful college experience.
