Inkstains Summer Writing Camps

Student writers experience the support of camp teachers and peers when they attend Inkstains Writing Camps. This year, Inkstains will be hosted on the campus of EMU in the Student Center!

Inkstains Creative Young Writers Camp, incoming grades 3 - 6

  • July 28 - August 1, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to noon (EST)
  • The cost of the camp is $100 for the first student; $90 for siblings.

Inkstains is a supportive space for young writers to explore their creative ideas. Students will participate in daily writing time individually, in small groups, and with partners. Due to the young ages of participants, students should be engaged and enthusiastic writers.

Inkstains Creative Writing Camp, incoming grades 6 - 9

  • July 28 - August 1, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (EST)
  • The cost of the camp is $160 for the first student; $150 for siblings.

Inkstains Creative Writing Camp will be a multi-track creative writing adventure in which writers will play with words. There will be lessons as well as conference opportunities. Students will share their writing and offer constructive feedback. Writers will choose from prompts and lessons related to poetry, fiction, script-writing, experimental essays, creative nonfiction, and more.

  • July 21 - 25, Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (EST)
  • The cost of the camp is $160 for the first student; $150 for siblings.
