  • Appointments for Returning EMU Students and New Transfer Students

    • All Returning EMU Students - you have completed, or are currently enrolled in, at least 1 class with EMU in the last two years.
    • New Transfer Students - you have been admitted to EMU for a future semester.
    • New R2B students - you have been admitted to EMU for a future semester
      • If you are NOT specifically admitted for a future semester, email Jill Sermon to update your application.

  • New Second Bachelor Students, ANY CHHS major

    Do not schedule an appointment using the scheduling links below or use the scheduling form. Second bachelor students often meet with a faculty member or school coordinator instead of an academic advisor listed on our website!

    • Your full name
    • Your EID number
    • Where and when you received your first bachelor's degree
    • The major you have been admitted for and are requesting advising or a plan of study for

    We will respond to your email within three business days and provide you with detailed next steps for program advising, major specific information, and registration instructions.

  • Summer / Fall 2023 Freshman

    All new first year students are required to attend Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR). As part of SOAR you will  meet with your advisor and register for your first semester classes. Do not schedule a one-on-one with you advisor unless you have already attended and registered for classes at SOAR.

  • Prospective Students

    CHHS advisors meet with admitted undergraduate students in CHHS majors and minors. The Office of Admissions can help you if you have questions about attending and/or transferring to Eastern Michigan University, and you can schedule with an admissions counselor.

CHHS Academic Advisors

  • Our advisors offer Virtual and On-Campus advising by appointment only. We cannot guarentee a full advising appointment for walk-ins due to various committments over the summer, such as new student orientation.
  • Virtual Drop-Ins are on Zoom from 2pm - 4pm every Tuesday during the academic semester.
Biology Pre-Med and Psychology Major/Minors:

Please schedule with the College of Arts & Sciences Francine Parker Advising Center. CHHS Advising does not advise for these majors.

Please see the note near the top of this page with directions on how to request one. You will then receive instructions for advising along with your plan of study. Enrolled second bach nusing students DO NOT NEED AN UPDATED PLAN OF STUDY for the nursing applicaiton.

  • Traditional Nursing School Students (gen eds only)

NOTE: Students in Nursing School should meet with their faculty advisor listed in Project Concert for questions about NURS classes.

  • HFC/WCC/MCCC Collaborative Nursing (gen eds only)
