Professional

Kayla Street (she/her/hers) joined Eastern Michigan University in March 2018 as a guest speaker before becoming a Part-Time Lecturer in January 2021. 

She is a certified physician assistant with clinical experience in primary care, practicing in outpatient non-profit and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) settings. Her special interests include pediatrics and adolescent medicine, as well as public health, health equity, medical ethics, and quality improvement and patient safety. In addition to teaching in the PA program, she is working as a Clinical Consultant for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Child and Adolescent Health Center Program (CAHC). 

Ms. Street is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (RPCV), where she served as a health education volunteer in Albania 2006-2008.
