As a child did you ever dream of being a super hero? Perhaps you dressed up as Superman for Halloween, or you envisioned what it would be like to fly in an invisible plane like Wonder Woman. Well, it is never too late to live your dream!
The theme for this year's Washtenaw County Heart Walk & 5K Run is "Be Heroic." Super heroes aren't just those who have super human powers or who have fancy gadgets the fend off evil doers, they are ordinary people like you and I who do extraordinary things.
Be a super hero and join the College of Health & Human Services & the American Heart Association in building healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Once again Associate Dean Dr. Chris Karshin will serve as the Captain of the College's Heart Walk Team...CHHS Has Heart.
This year's event will take place on Saturday, May 10th on EMU's Campus. Our Provost, Kim Schatzel is the Chair of this year's walk.
Below are some specifics about the day's event and how you can participate:
You can register for the the event, join the CHHS Has Heart team, and/or make a donation on-line.
Invite your family and friends to register too. If you would like to make an in-person donation you can give your cash or *check to Dr. Karshin. I will make certain that it is allocated to our Team (*all checks should be made out to the American Heart Association).
