Diane has practiced as a social worker for 37 years. Prior to Social Work, She was an intensive care unit nurse for 12 years, which led her to realize her desired social work as her future trajectory. Diane's clinical/professional social work career has been spent managing and directing medical Social Work departments in four SE Michigan hospitals.  Her focus was on crisis intervention with patients and families, working with interdisciplinary health care teams, education of staff and employees in customer service principles, and hospital-wide projects for improvement of patient care.  Diane came to EMU SSW in January 2014, and this work has been a joy for her.
