Julia Glander is a professional actor, director and teacher. She has acted Off-Broadway at the Pearl Theatre in New York, and at many regional theaters across the country, including Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Asolo Theatre for the Performing Arts and the American Stage Company, to name a few. In New York City, she performed in many small experimental venues, as well as at the Kennedy Center in D.C. In Los Angeles, she performed with the Los Angeles Symphony Orchestra, (conductor-George Daugherty) narrating Peter and the Wolf, (with the late Lloyd Bridges), at the massive Hollywood Bowl. Julia was also an associate producer for an ABC-TV kid's special, called Rhythm and Jam. She has been in many national commercials and voice-overs. Michigan audiences have seen her work at the Performance Network, Meadow Brook Theatre (Wilde Award Nomination-title role in Mary Stuart), Williamston Theatre (Pulsar and Thespie Award-title role in Shirley Valentine), and at the Tipping Point Theatre (Wilde Award-Lady with all the Answers). Her film credits include: Trust, Highland Park, Salvation Boulevard, Waterwalk and Answer This! Julia Glander's teaching credits include: Washtenaw Community College, as a guest artist at Nazareth College and at The Barn (private acting studio in LA).
