Biography

As a member of Actors Equity Association and Screen Actors Guild /American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG/AFTRA), John has accumulated an extensive professional stage and film resume. He directed the EMU productions of One Man, Two Guvnors, Hotel Paradiso and Noises Off, and has appeared as an Equity guest artist for EMU Theatres. John has served as an associate artist with both The Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea and The Performance Network and collaborates regularly with The Williamston Theatre. His Michigan directing credits include Doubt and Circle Mirror Transformation (Wilde Awards-Best Drama 2008, Best Comedy 2011) and he directed the west coast premiere of Ken Ludwig's Leading Ladies for North Coast Rep in San Diego and the New York premiere of Steven Dietz's More Fun Than Bowling. As a director and actor, John's been recognized with a number of nominations and awards from Michigan journalists, including The Detroit Free Press, The Oakland Press, The Ann Arbor News (MLive) and The Wilde Awards (BetweenTheLines media). John has supporting roles in the feature films Super Sucker, Kill The Irishman and Batman vs. Superman, Dawn of Justice (with Holly Hunter).
