Biography

Madeleine has taught and designed costumes at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the State University of New York–Brockport where her credits included Gypsy, The Importance of Being Earnest, Annie and Rashomon. Madeleine served as assistant costumer at Syracuse Stage for two years, and has designed costumes at various professional houses including Contemporary Theatre of Syracuse, Youngstown Playhouse, Cortland Repertory Theatre, Attic Theatre, and the University of Findlay Summer Stock. She has also worked in costume construction at Eastman School of Music and the Utah Shakespeare Festival. In 1995 she returned to her undergraduate alma mater as the costume shop manager. Since her return to Eastern Michigan University, Madeleine has designed costumes for more than 30 productions including: The Boy Who Loved Monsters and the Girl Who Loved Peas, The School for Scandal, Reefer Madness, Evita, A Year with Frog and Toad, Cabaret, The Big Friendly Giant, and The Prince, The Wolf and The Firebird.
