Dr. Nick Romerhausen is a Professor of Communication, the Course Director for COMM 124: Foundations of Speech Communication, and is the mentor for Graduate Teaching Assistants. He is highly involved in assessment and building learning communities with other faculty in the General Education Program.
Dr. Romerhausen has focused the majority of his published and presented research on the factors that affect rapport building in higher education environments and pedagogical innovation. His other research interests include the First Amendment, the rise of artificial intelligence, and discourse studies. Dr. Romerhausen regularly mentors undergraduate and graduate students in the research process and consistently sponsors students who present at EMU’s annual undergraduate symposium and the McNair Scholars Program.
