The Master of Science in Financial Analytics (MSFA) at Eastern Michigan University is a 30-credit hour, AACSB-accredited program for recent graduates and working professionals.
The program is delivered in a supportive, fully online format over five consecutive 7.5-week sessions, allowing completion of the 30-hour core requirements in only 10 months.
The STEM-designated curriculum covers topics in corporate finance, financial reporting, fixed income, derivatives, investments, portfolio management, and equity investments.
The program not only provides a strong foundation to sit for all three levels of the CFA exams but also magnifies your practical skills to better prepare you for a career in finance.
You'll gain hands-on experience with the latest tools and techniques, such as Python programming, financial analytics, and AI-driven financial modeling.

Curriculum
ACC 501 - Accounting Principles 3 hrs (or equivalent) with a B or higher
ACC 501 course equivalents must be from an AACSB-accredited university and approved by the finance faculty. Equivalency exams may be allowed in some cases.
Students that are required to take ACC 501 have the option to enroll in this course the summer prior to their first fall semester or to take ACC 501 their first semester.
