Dr. Charles Teague
Dr. Charles Teague joins us after finishing his Ph.D. in Finance at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Teague spent over 20 years in corporate management in the heavy equipment industry. Earlier in his career, Dr. Teague worked in the financial services industry as a registered investment representative for Edward D. Jones & Co., L.P.
Dr. Teague is currently a candidate for the Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) designation having passed the Level I exam.

Research
Dr. Teague’s research interest lies in the areas of corporate finance, corporate governance, payout policy, and fixed income. Specifically, he examines the effects of agency conflicts on the firm’s choice of payout policy and the resultant implications for stakeholder wealth. Dr. Teague has presented his research at several national and international conferences including the FMA, MFA, SFA, and International FMA.
