Master the Art and Science of People Management
An EMU master’s degree or certificate will allow you to deepen your knowledge and drive organization success through strategies and practices that focus on human resources, organizational development and management.
The Master of Science in Human Resource and Organizational Development program will teach you how to identify, plan and manage organizational change, assess organizational and human resource needs, and identify and implement processes to increase both employee satisfaction and organizational effectiveness. Our program is innovative, flexible, and applied.

Master’s Degree
Master of Science in Human Resource Management & Organizational Development [MSHROD] – this comprehensive 30-credit program equips candidates with foundational and applied skills in human capital management, organizational development techniques, change management, training and more with subjects that include:

- Organization Diagnostics and Improvement
The College of Business also has a collaboration with Tianjin University of Commerce in China, running the Master of Science in Human Resource Management and Organizational Development. The two-year program is taught in English by both EMU and Tianjin University faculty, with cohorts of 30 students.
Graduate Certificates
Busy professionals can start their developmental journey with these smaller, 15-credit graduate certificates:
- Human Resource Management—Offered Online or In-person, this certificate will prepare you for entry or transition into the HR field by covering topics such as organization staffing, compensation, and technology in HR.
- Organizational Development – Learn organization development strategy, data techniques for diagnosing and managing change, negotiation, and other subjects in this 15-credit Certificate.
- Management—In this certificate, you’ll be introduced to applied management principles such as organizational behavior, leadership, and managing innovation and change.
