Scholarships

The College of Business and the individual departments in the College have endowed scholarships that are available to students meeting specific criteria. The deadline for scholarship applications for the 2016-2017 award year is Sunday, January 17, 2016 by 11:59pm. The Mann Li Liu Lee Memorial Scholarship has been extended until April 15, 2016 by 11:50pm.

UHY Distinguished Accounting Leadership Scholarship ($1,000 each semester)
This scholarship (applied to EMU tuition and fees) is awarded to a Master of Science Accounting student or an undergraduate accounting major who is going to be enrolled in MSA/MSAIS/MST or 150 hour program who has exhibited a combination of outstanding academic performance and leadership skills.
Criteria:
1.  Be an EMU undergraduate accounting major entering the EMU MSA/MSAIS/MST/150 hour program or currently in the MSA/MSAIS/MST or 150 hour program
2.  Have at least a 3.2 overall GPA
3.  US Citizen or Permanent Resident
4.  Member or Officer in the Accounting Club/BAP/NABA
5.  Must have demonstrated leadership skills which include:
  1.  Taking risks in classroom projects to deliver an unique work product
  2.  Effectively managed divergent personalities to achieve successful outcomes and to enhance the contributions of others
  3.  Demonstrated the ability to grasp new concepts quickly and applied them effectively in the classroom
  4.  Stay calm under pressure
