Professional Summary

Karen worked as a teacher and professional development coordinator in Michigan public schools for almost 30 years before coming to Eastern Michigan University as a full-time professor.  She earned all three of her degrees from the Department of Special Education at Eastern Michigan University and was an adjunct instructor in this department for many years.  Karen continues to work in public schools, presenting numerous workshops and training sessions for teachers and administrators.
