Learning Technology and Design

The Learning Technology and Design (LTEC) program offers three programs of study:

  1. Master of Arts in Learning Technology and Design
  2. Graduate Certificate in Learning Technology and Design
  3. Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching

An LTEC faculty will work with you to assist in the:

  • Exploration of degree requirements
  • Evaluation of applications for admission to a degree program
  • Preparation of a plan of study (curriculum)
  • Approval of program changes
  • Recommendation for graduation

  • Admissions

    For admission to any of the above programs, we require that you:

    • Comply with Graduate School admission requirements (i.e., complete application form, send official transcripts, and application fee).
    • Have at least a 2.75 undergraduate GPA or a 3.30 GPA in 12 hours or more of work in a master's program.
    • Submit a one (1) page letter of interest describing your career goals and reasons for pursuing your chosen program (e.g. Master's or Certificate in Education Media and Technology or Certificate in Online Teaching).
    • Request and have submitted two current (within the last two years) letters of recommendation.

    NOTE: All of the above materials will be taken into account in the admission process. Decisions will be made using an holistic assessment taking into account the goals, professional writing, prior experiences, and past academic performance including GPA.

  • Online Courses

    Online Courses The courses in both the Master of Arts and the Graduate Certificate are offered solely online. The (online) courses are designed to give students opportunities to engage in collaborative, practical, and theory-based learning. Our course of study prepares students to effectively use technology to support teaching and learning in a variety of educational settings.
