With online learning platforms making online teaching even more of a reality for educators in Michigan - EMU is pleased to announce the development of a series of new online teaching courses.

The educational media and technology program, within the College of Education has designed these courses to provide teachers with the basic skills of how to teach online and help them develop a comfort level with communicating with their students through these emerging online technologies. The courses will begin in the Summer 2014.

The series of online teaching courses include:

  • Online Teaching: Introduction (3 credits)
  • Online Teaching: Advanced (3 credits)
  • Online Teaching: Practicum (3 credits)
  • Online Teaching: Blended Instruction (3 credits)

Upon receiving their online teaching certificate, teachers should be able to handle any course management system within their school district and be ready to start teaching in those environments. For questions or more information, please contact Michael McVey.
