Justin Birr (BS12) is teaching high school math in the Reeths-Puffer school district in Muskegon, Michigan. Justin previously worked for Muskegon Heights Public School Academy. His wife, Jordan Birr (BS12), is teaching second grade at Central Elementary in the same district. Jordan previously worked at Timberland Charter Academy in Muskegon, Michigan. Read the article.

Rosanne Catella (MA80) was promoted from vice president to president of Ohio Business College. In her new role, Catella will oversee and manage the operations of all four OBC locations, in addition to maintaining her current responsibilities as school director for the Sheffield Village campus. Darren Conn (BS06) is teaching history and social studies to seventh through 12th graders at Vanderbilt Area School. Prior to this, he taught in the Belleville school system for two years. Read the article.

Kirk Duncan (MA13) was named assistant principal of Royal Oak Middle School in fall 2014. Mr. Duncan was a teacher leader and administrative intern at Wylie E. Groves High School prior to his appointment in Royal Oak. Read the article.

Ron Drzewicki (MA93) was appointed superintendent of Mason Public Schools in August 2014. Mr. Drzewicki served as superintendent of White Pigeon Community Schools prior to his appointment in Mason.

Elizabeth Mosher (BBA89) became Director of Secondary Education at Huron Valley Schools in July 2014. Prior to this appointment, Ms. Mosher served as an assistant principal at Lakeland High School (Huron Valley Schools) and as an acting administrator at Farmington High School. She is currently pursuing administrative certification through EMU's educational leadership program.

Karen Roback (BS95) was named vice president of early childhood policy and programs at Starfish Family Services this June. Starfish is a nonprofit dedicated to creating brighter futures for the children of at-risk families in metropolitan Detroit. Prior to this position, Ms. Roback was senior director of early learning innovation for the Early Childhood Investment Corporation. She also served as director of Lenawee County's early childhood program titled, Communities Helping to Increase Learning and Development.

Michelle Seals (BS89, MA96) was named principal of Lakewood Elementary School in Ann Arbor this August. She has been a Kindergarten teacher in Ann Arbor Schools as well as a special education teacher for the Washtenaw Intermediate School District, the Monroe Intermediate Schools District, and Ypsilanti Public Schools. Currently, Ms. Seals is a student in the Educational Studies doctoral program at EMU.

Marci Tuzinsky (MA00) was promoted to dean of Community High School in Ann Arbor in August. Prior to her promotion, Ms. Tuzinsky was a lead teacher at Community High School.

Richard Weigel (MA95, EDD13) was named superintendent of Portage Township Schools in Portage, Indiana. His previous administrative appointments include roles as superintendent (Niles Community Schools), assistant superintendent (Ypsilanti Public Schools), curriculum director (Mason Consolidated Schools in Erie), and co-principal and assistant principal (Pinckney Community Schools).
