William Horton-Anderson (graduate student, counseling) and Amber Hawkins (graduate student, counseling) will be providing additional assistance to Milan High School students in the post graduation planning process as part of Milan High School is partnering with Eastern Michigan University and the Michigan College Access Network to up the ante in providing more dedicated college counseling expertise to students at the school. Mardee Kohlmann (graduate student, speech-language pathology) received the 2014 Students Preparing for Academic Research Careers (SPARC) award. This is a national, highly competitive award and only 10 students across the country are granted this award annually. Mardee is the EMU SLP program's fourth recipient of this award. Sarah Ginsberg (professor, special education) was Mardee's faculty sponsor for this award.
