The Graduate Certificate in Japanese Language Teaching program is designed to assist certified Japanese Language teachers in attaining the equivalent of an advanced level of proficiency in the Japanese language, as well as to improve teaching effectiveness in different teaching/learning settings including Japanese as a foreign language and Japanese as a heritage language.

What You Will Learn

You will learn theory and methods of modern language teaching at an advanced level as well as advance your skills in using technology in foreign language classrooms. This program will further immerse you in the Japanese culture through the practice of advanced language skills, discussion of contemporary Japanese issues, and study of pertinent Japenese literature.
