Entering Hours for One Day
Enter time for each individual day when your work schedule is inconsistent. For example, you work different times or number of hours each day of the week or pay period. When entering time, it is important to use quarter hour increments: Semi-Monthly employees will enter hours in quarter hour increments (e.g. .25, .50, and .75).
Follow these directions to enter hours for one day, on your leave report:
- Open your leave report. See Opening Your Leave Report for more information.
- From the Leave Report page, click the Enter Hours link for the desired date and earnings type.
- Type the number of hours, to the nearest quarter hour, in the Hours field.
Note: Employee time from 1 to 7 minutes should be rounded down, and thus not counted as time worked, but employee time from 8 to 14 minutes must be rounded up and counted as a quarter hour of work time. See FLSA Regulations 29 CFR 785.48(b) [PDF] for more information.
- Click the Save button.
