Additional InformationDr. Afaneh joined Wolverine in 2012 as the Director of Engineering. In this role, Dr. Afaneh has worked with his team to increase our product offerings, develop world class engineering processes, and establish a solution-oriented culture focused on serving our customers.
Prior to joining Wolverine Advanced Materials, Dr. Afaneh positions included: Sub-Section Manager of Jet Engine Drive Systems at GE Aviation, Director of Engineering at Robert Bosch, Principle Engineer at Borg Warner, Adjunct Professor and Post Doctorate Fellow at Wayne State University.
Dr. Afaneh has over 25 years of experience within the automotive and aerospace industry, with 15 plus years spent leading engineering teams at GE, Bosch, and Borg Warner. Dr. Afaneh has achieved significant accomplishments in the area of academia with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jordan University.
Dr. Afaneh has been a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) since 1990 and supported SAE by reviewing technical papers and participating in "A World of Motion" program. In addition, he served as an advisory member at Wayne State University. Dr. Afaneh has published more than 12 technical papers, published an article in Auto Focus Asia - Issue 3 and coauthored three patents.
