Originally from Jefferson, Ohio, Lieutenant Colonel Stanley was commissioned a Second Lieutenant through the United States Military Academy in 2000. His previous assignments include serving as a Platoon Leader and Company Executive Officer in the 25th Infantry Division at Fort Lewis, WA; Company Commander in the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, KY; Executive Officer for the Directorate of Admissions, United States Military Academy at West Point, New York; Battalion Operations Officer, Executive Officer and Brigade Executive Officer in the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Carson, Colorado; and Executive Officer to the Commanding General of US Army North at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
His professional military education includes the Infantry Officer Basic and Captain’s Career Course; U.S. Army Airborne School; U.S. Army Air Assault School; U.S. Army Ranger School; and Intermediate Level Education, Command and General Staff College. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY and a Master's of Business Administration degree from Portland State University, Portland, Oregon.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medals, Army Commendation Medal with “V” Device, Army Commendation Medals, Army Achievement Medals, and various other service and unit awards.
Lieutenant Colonel Stanley has one daughter, Zoey.
