Eastern Michigan University ranks fifth nationally in graduate degrees awarded to African American students in engineering technologies and engineering-related fields
Eastern Michigan University has been recognized for its success in awarding graduate degrees to minority students. “Diverse: Issues in Higher Education” ranked Eastern fifth nationally in master’s degrees awarded to African American students in the area of engineering technologies and engineering related fields in the magazine’s annual rankings of the nation’s Top 100 Degree Producers.
Eastern was repeatedly cited throughout the listings for high minority participation in graduate education. In the engineering area, the University showed a gain of more than 150 percent in the 2012-13 academic year from the previous year’s graduation total. Read more
