The Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management is designed to prepare individuals for entry-level management and supervisory positions in aviation. The industry not only depends on flight, the operations on the ground at airports, airline companies, local airports and more are vitally critical. All help to ensure passenger safety, efficient logistics and sound business practices.
Based upon the need for business skills in aviation management and the premise that aviation technology personnel need not begin as aviators or mechanics, for these roles the industry requires a foundation of aviation-related critical thinking skills and the knowledge of basic business course work.
The program was developed with input from the aviation industry, including the Cessna Aircraft Company, General Motors Air Transport, the FAA, the Michigan Department of Aeronautics and others. With the aviation management degree, you will gain the knowledge and the skills to be an important and vital part of the complex airline industry.
