The Women's Resource Center strives to host a variety of programs relating to women, their experiences, and the intersection of identities. Our programs are primarily rooted in global awareness movements, response to campus culture, and working to end gender inequities.

Awareness Months

During the academic year, the Women's Resource Center hosts events in recognition of many national or global awareness weeks, months and days.

Women of Excellence Luncheon and Awards Ceremony

The Annual Women of Excellence Luncheon and Awards Ceremony is designed to honor the accomplishments of women and femme-identified folks who have made significant contributions at Eastern and the surrounding community. This event is held every April.

Women of Color Feminism and Leadership Symposium

The Annual Women of Color Feminisms and Leadership Symposium is a collaborative event hosted by the Women’s Resource Center (WRC), The Center of Race and Ethnicity (CORE), Women and Gender Studies Department, and other various EMU entities and student organizations. They Symposium specifically caters to EMU students that identify as women of color and provides them with an opportunity to gain strategies for Women of Color to achieve wellness, visibility, and justice within a white patriarchal society.
