Vaccination Requirement for Students in Certain Academic Programs
Students who participate in certain academic programs are required to be up-to-date in their COVID-19 vaccines (which includes a booster shot as soon as they are eligible) unless they request and receive an accommodation from vaccination based on medical necessity or sincerely-held religious belief. Students who receive an accommodation from vaccination will be required to undergo regular COVID-19 testing.
Students who participate in programs that require vaccination will be notified by email of this requirement, but examples of such programs may include:
- Marching Band
- Theatre
- Voice
- Music Ensemble
- Forensics
- Moot Court
- Model UN
Students enrolled in these programs are required to be up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccines because certain aspects of the program involve activity that poses a higher risk of transmitting COVID-19, such as close proximity, travel, and/or maskless activity.
Students who do not comply with these policies may be barred from participating in the program (and, if applicable, removed from the course).
