Knowledge and Adventure Await

Encourage your kids to step out and explore a new interest or potential career in a fun and relaxed environment at Eastern Michigan University. EMU faculty, staff and students will be on hand to ignite imaginations and open up a variety of topics from intellectual pursuits to athletic achievement. Available camps will be listed below as they are open for registration.

[email protected] produces camps in two ways:

  • Partnership Camps - These camps are partnership camps in which an external entity such as Lincoln Consolidated Schools, American Promise or Girls on the Run employ [email protected] in designing, developing and implementing a high-quality camp. These camps can be week-long residential or month-long non-residential programs.
  • Public Camps -Public camps are open enrollment camps put on in collaboration with the Rec/IM, EMU esports, Girl Scouts Heart of Michigan, and the Ann Arbor YMCA to name a few. These camps are promoted and all are welcome to register!

  • Winter 2021 Offerings

    Storytime Lunches (Online)

    Have lunch with friends while a special guest reads a story!  Each week we will have a new guest reader who will share and discuss their favorite storybook with the kids. 

    • Dates and Times: January 18th - March 22nd from 12:00pm to 1:00pm
    • Audience: K-2 Students
    • Online Format: Zoom
    • Cost: $45 per student for all 10 ($5 per session) 

    Language Lunches (Online)

    Looking to brush up your Spanish or German? Join us for lunch!  These Friday online language lunches are the perfect opportunity to practice a new language in a stress-free setting, all while making new friends and having fun.  All lunch tables will be supported and facilitated by EMU student teachers. 

    • Dates and Times: Fridays, January 22nd - March 26th from 12:00pm to 1:30pm
    • Audience: Grades 6-12 (Students will be grouped by grade range, middle & high school)
    • Online Format: Zoom
    • Cost : $50 per student for all 10 ($5 per session) 

    Gamer's Society - Coding & Minecraft

    Learn the basics of coding while mastering Minecraft with friends!  During this three-day camp, students will learn about coding languages and how to implement basic coding techniques in the world of Minecraft. 

    • Dates and Times: February 8 - 10 from 6–8 p.m.
    • Audience: Grades 6-8
    • Online Format: Zoom
    • Cost : $60 per student 
  • Fun Camp

    FUN CAMP is offered in partnership with EMU Rec/IM

    The Rec/IM Department at EMU and [email protected] are offering an exciting opportunity for your children to participate in a multi-faceted day camp designed to promote year-round learning, friendship, and fun!

    Throughout the course of this 5-week camp, campers will work and play alongside their peers, enjoying the best that EMU has to offer. Guided by EMU student teachers and field professionals, campers will develop new skills such as coding or gardening while embarking on exciting adventures like a trip to EMU’s Planetarium, a robot relay race, or a campus-wide scavenger hunt! Campers will leave this camp more engaged with the world around them, confident, passionate about learning, and ready to take on the school year.

    This camp is designed for children ages 7 (or entering 2nd grade in the fall) through 12 (at the time of registration).

  • Camp Girls on the Run 2021

    Camp Girls on the Run is offered in partnership with Girls on the Run of Southeastern Michigan... Due to COVID-19, this camp has been postponed to 2021.  

    Camp GOTR combines the best of Girls on the Run with all the fun of summer camp! During each week-long session, rising 3rd through 5th-grade girls will build friendships in a fun and inclusive setting that includes interactive games, being physically active and expressing their own creativity through art and storytelling. Led by caring and qualified Girls on the Run coaches, field professionals, and EMU student teachers, Camp GOTR provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity for girls to develop self-confidence, learn life skills they can use now and as they grow, and have fun with friends.

  • SAT Summer Institute 

    Let Eastern Michigan University's SAT test-preparation program help you prepare for this important test! SAT Blitz classes, offered during the academic year, are strategically scheduled for the weeks leading up to the most popular SAT test dates. Classes are scheduled to allow time to practice new skills between sessions. Our multi-week course format allows abundant opportunities for learning and for interacting with our expert instructors. Classes include 16 hours of instruction, the official preparation guide including practice tests from The College Board, a course workbook, and access to our online resources—class recordings, pre-recorded class modules, an instructor-monitored question forum, and online office hours. The SAT Blitz classes are offered in live-online format.

    EMU Sports Camps

    Eastern Michigan University annually sponsors summer youth camps in multiple sports. All EMU Camps and Clinics are open to any and all entrants who meet the appropriate age, gender, or grade requirement for the specific camp or clinic.
