What We Can Do
Since becoming an OSHA Training Institute Education Center (OTIEC) in 1995, PPAT has served Region V as the only OSHA authorized training center in Michigan. We provide open enrollment classes and on-site training and consultation in more than 35 different health and safety areas.
Human resources professionals can obtain the training needed to help pass certification tests or gain re-certification credits from one of the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) top 20 recertification providers and oldest partners.
If continuing education credits (CEUs) are required to maintain certifications or licenses, we have it covered. Focusing on social work, education (SCECH), OSHA, SHRM and more, we partner with EMU colleges, faculty and industry professionals to develop and provide high quality non-credit continuing education courses that meet state and federal guidelines.
EMU’s Testing and Certification Center meets specific space, privacy and security specifications for delivering certification exams. Partnering with Pearson VUE, a global leader in computer-based testing for certification and licensure exams in health care, finance, information technology, academic and other markets, we have positioned ourselves as a one-stop provider for professional development.
Our Track Record
We've trained over 150,000 workers, managers and safety professionals in more than 500 facilities over the past 35 years. Since launching in Fall 2016, the Testing and Certification Center has provided entry-level information technology certification exams for Michigan Works clients. We continually work with our business and industry partners to identify testing certifications that best meet client needs.
