The Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential is the only national nonprofit credential preparing students (undergraduate, graduate and professional) for leadership in the nonprofit sector. As part of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance (NLA), Eastern Michigan University (EMU) Professional Programs and Training (PPAT) offers a series of fully online, non-credit courses designed to help nonprofit professionals achieve this nationally recognized credential. Typically achieved while earning a degree, EMU is the only university approved by the NLA to offer a path to this certification outside of the pursuit of a degree.
What We Can Do
Working professionals can earn the national Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP) credential at EMU by completing the eight, online courses in the Nonprofit Leadership Excellence Series, demonstrating nonprofit leadership and service activities, and attending one of two national nonprofit conferences.
Visit nonprofitleadershipalliance.org for more information about CNP certification.
