You can enroll in limited amount of courses through Extended Programs without applying for admission to an EMU program. This gets you started while you collect your admissions materials (transcripts, etc.) and send them to the Office of Admissions. Or, if you're a graduate student, it gives you a chance to dive into a course while you apply to the Graduate School. It's perfect if you just need a class or two. If you're entering a program, you'll need to apply, but enrolling in classes through Extended Programs can give you a jump-start with your first courses.
