Mission

The Office of Financial Aid provides access, aid and advisory services for the EMU Community to facilitate student recruitment, enrollment, and retention at Eastern Michigan University.

Vision Statement

The Office of Financial Aid strives to balance responsible stewardship of all financial aid funds with the creation of a student-centered culture. Our goal is to operate efficiently so institutional resources are used wisely and students may pursue their academic goals without distraction. We continuously work to improve our use of technology to streamline financial aid processes and to provide outstanding customer service. We constantly look forward to meeting challenges resulting from changes in federal, state, institutional, and private funding rules and economic changes. We seek to model campus-wide communication and collaboration while respecting the needs, values, and diversity of our students, parents, and colleagues.
