Karen Andrews and Brian Kruger Join The EMU Foundation Board



Andrews and Kruger will serve a three-year term.


            YPSILANTI—December 5, 2016—Karen Andrews, consultant and managing director of The Andrews Group, and Brian Kruger, president and CEO of Stunt Multimedia, were recently elected to the Eastern Michigan University Foundation Board of Trustees.


            Andrews holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial and organizational psychology from the University of Michigan and earned a master’s degree in human resources and organizational development from Eastern Michigan University in 1995. Recognized as the "Human Resources Executive of the Year" by the American Society of Employers, Andrews has extensive experience in executive coaching and training, human resource strategy, strategic planning, employee rewards/benefits strategies and solutions, change management and organizational design strategy, and executive team building and facilitation. Andrews also serves as an adjunct faculty member at EMU teaching professional human resource certification courses. She is a certified SHRM- SCP (Senior Certified Professional) in Human Resources, and she serves/has served on several Boards, including Old National Bank, Eastern Michigan University College of Business Dean's Executive Advisory Board, Honey Creek Community School, Dawn Farm, and the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County. She currently resides in Ann Arbor, Michigan with her husband Tim.


            Kruger earned his bachelor’s degree in communication and theatre arts from Eastern Michigan University in 1987. He went on to become a successful entrepreneur, founding WoodWing USA (a subsidiary of the parent Dutch company, WoodWing Software) in 2001. From an office in his basement, he grew WoodWing USA into one of the largest publishing software companies in the western hemisphere. Kruger founded Detroit-based Stunt3 Multimedia in 2009 and has since established relationships with the Kellogg Foundation, Comerica Diversity Council, Ford Motor Company, State Farm and others to distribute educational editions of its films to classrooms and libraries throughout the country. Since then, he has produced six feature-length documentaries that have aired nationally, two of which garnered Emmy nominations.  He currently resides in Grosse Pointe, Michigan with his wife Roseanne Paglia.


The EMU foundation is a private, nonprofit corporation that increases private support and manages endowment assets for the benefit of Eastern Michigan University.
