Eastern Earns High Rankings for Promoting Social Mobility
The U.S. News and World Report ranked Eastern Michigan University among one of the best universities in the country in the social mobility category. The distinction is based on the opportunities colleges offer disadvantaged students with federal Pell Grants.
Eastern was ranked 82 in the nation among 391 national universities. The U.S. News & World Report annual rankings are considered the gold standard of reference in recognizing various elements of college life.

Eastern's Educational Leadership Program Receives High Rankings for Online Program
Eastern Michigan University’s Educational Leadership Master’s Degree program ranked high on the lists of two separate reports. The program is listed as #7 in the nation according to the 2019 Best Online Colleges rankings and #17 on the 25 Best Online Master’s in Educational Leadership Degree Programs.
Among other criteria, the rankings are based on salary potential, tuition rates, program quality, types of courses offered, faculty, awards, rankings, reputation and the online education method. Inclusion on this list shows high return on investment and commitment to affordability, two key factors for prospective students.
