Why You Like Working Here

I like working at EMU because of the diversity of the population. I worked at two institutions prior to EMU and EMU is so unique.

Favorite EMU Moment

My favorite moments have been Fast Tracks. I like the interactions of family and students and helping them understand that college is priceless. Students understanding what higher ed is going to look like, choosing classes and being super overwhelmed and excited all at once is phenomenal.

Favorite Campus Spot

I truly enjoy the dining area of the student center because it’s the best place to people watch. I also enjoy the natural light.

Inspiration

My inspiration and motivation would be my godsons and nephews. I have four godsons and three nephews. Everything I do is for them. Be it my academics, working on my Ph.D, where I am in my career or giving back to them.

Super Power

To control time. I think controlling time would be awesome.

Next Goal

I’d like to finish my Ph.D. That’s a huge goal. I have approximately a year left. I’m looking forward to becoming Dr. Howard by the end of next winter.
