Evaluations & Performance Reviews
Eastern's performance management system is designed to enhance communication between you and your supervisor, help you develop and grow and create an environment of continuous improvement University-wide. Evaluations happen during your probationary, qualifying and break-in periods and yearly after. Here are the specific details.
AC/AH/AP/CA/PT/PE/CS Employees
The evaluation and feedback process is designed to evaluate employees on competencies and characteristics used to build the culture EMU strives for. To find out more about the system contact Human Resources directly or attend a training.
- AP, AC, AH and CA: you don't have a traditional probation period, but you do have a new hire progress review at 90 days. Your annual review occurs with every fiscal year.
- PE/PT: your break-in period is 45 days, qualifying period is 90, and your new hire probationary period is 180. Your annual review occurs with every fiscal year.
- CS: your break-in period is 30 days, qualifying and new hire mid-probationary period is 90 days and your new hire probationary period is 180 days. Your annual review occurs with every fiscal year.
**Note- In the spring of 2023 University Human Resources will be launching the new Performance Evaluation tool within the PageUp environment. More details will be posted soon**
FM and CP/PS Employees
- FM: your qualifying period is 20 working days and your new hire probationary period is 245 days. Your annual review occurs on your date of hire. Internal promotions can happen after 20 working days. See your performance review form (FM) [PDF].
- CP/PS: your qualifying period is 90 days and your new hire probationary period is a year. Your annual review occurs with every fiscal year. Internal promotions can happen after 90 days.
