Settings

Your Google Workspace account has a number of default settings that give it a slightly different look from what you may be used to. Similarly, you'll find several functional differences in the way that your Google Workspace account is configured. By reviewing the Settings documentation and changing a few settings, you can quickly customize Google to look and work in ways that you prefer. One thing that you'll definitely want to consider is the permission settings for your calendar.

Calendar Permissions

The default setting for your Google calendar allows others to view all event details. For instructions on modifying this, and other Calendar permission settings, review the following sections in Google's Share Your Calendar documentation:

  • Share a calendar with everyone in your organization
  • Share your calendar
  • Permission settings

Note: Making an event private will hide all event details from anyone who has access to the calendar, unless they have "Make changes to events" level of access or higher.
