Service Description

Service Name: Banner Reporting (BOE) 
Service Name Synonyms: Reporting, Crystal Reports, Business Objects Enterprise, Business Intelligence, BI, most commonly referred to as BOE.
Description: Banner reporting uses report generation and scheduling tools such as Business Objects Enterprise (BOE) to deliver critical business process reports to a University-wide audience.
Availability: 24/7/365, except planned maintenance windows.
Eligibility: Access to Banner Reporting (BOE) is granted to employees as required to perform specific job duties.
Restrictions: Access to reports and data is restricted based upon job role. In general, the access granted is the minimum level of access required to complete your assigned job duties.


Access is only available on the administrative network. End-Users must use the EMU Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access reporting from the EMU-wireless network, the EMU-wireless-secure network or from off-campus. 
Support: Support is available through the IT Help Desk at 734-487-2120 or it.helpdesk@emich.edu. Support is provided during the service hours of the IT Help Desk.

All access to the system is reviewed and approved by the Functional Security Representative for each respective module and implemented by IT staff.


Costs and Limitations: DoIT does not charge departments or individuals for normal usage.
