SPAIDEN - Viewing Contact, Biographic, and Demographic Information

Use the Identification form (SPAIDEN) to view contact, biographic, and demographic information. This form is sometimes used by the Help Desk and other departments that work with faculty, staff, and students - over the phone - to verify the caller's identity.

Note: The Help Desk uses this form to verify a caller's the last four (4) digits of the caller's social security number and their birth date. They also use this form to locate alternate contact information, when they have difficulty contacting a caller.

Follow these directions to view information in SPAIDEN:

  1. From the Banner Main menu, type the form name in the Go To... box press the [Enter] key on the keyboard.

  2. The form is displayed. If necessary, search for the person. See Searching for a Person by ID or Name  for more information.

  3. Click the Next Block button on the toolbar.

  4. The Current Identification block is populated with current ID and name of the student.

    Note: There are a total of six (6) SPAIDEN information blocks or tabs. The tab names along with their contents are listed below:
    • Current Identification - displays the current ID and name of the student.
    • Alternate Identification - displays former names and IDs that are referred to as alternate names and IDs in Banner.
    • Address - displays current and former addresses and telephone numbers.
    • Telephone - displays current and former telephone numbers.
    • Biographical - displays birth month/day, citizenship, and veteran status. With the proper access, gender, birth year, age, SSN, deceased date, ethnicity and race information are also displayed.
    • Email -displays the EMU email address along with any current and former self-reported personal email addresses.
    • Emergency Contact - Accessible with the appropriate credentials, emergency contact information is maintained in Banner for full-time University employees.
  5. Click a tab to display the corresponding block of information.
  6. When you are finished, click the Exit button on the toolbar to return to the Banner Main menu.
