SPAAPIN - Viewing/Removing Alternate PINs

The Alternate Personal Identification Number form (SPAAPIN) displays the alternate PIN used during priority registration, if a student has been sent to collections, or if a student has less than 25 credit hours and needs to attend a General Education Advising session. This term specific PIN may need to be supplied by the student prior to allowing entry to registration and add/drop activities. This form is also used to remove the General Education Advising (GERR) PIN once the student has attended a session.

Follow these directions to view information in SPAAPIN:

  1. From the Banner Main menu, type the form name in the Go To... box press the [Enter] key on the keyboard.

  2. The SPAAPIN form is displayed. Type the term code you want to work with in the Term field.
  3. If necessary, search for the student. See Searching for a Person by ID or Name for more information.
  4. Click the Next Block button on the toolbar.

  5. The first information block is populated. The value in the Alternate PIN field will determine who to contact regarding the registration restriction. See Glossary of Banner Codes and Fields  for more information.

    Note: To remove a PIN:

    1. Click the term code in the Term Code column, for the PIN you want to remove.
    2. Click Record on the menu bar and click Remove from the list.
    3. Click the Save button on the toolbar.
  6. When you are finished, click the Exit button on the toolbar to return to the Banner Main menu.
