LastPass Enterprise
April 25, 2023 - EMU LastPass License ending July 2023
EMU is moving away from LastPass to Bitwarden for our licensed password vault system. More information about Bitwarden is available on the Bitwarden page.
January 10, 2023 - LastPass reported a data breach.
Encrypted password vaults were stolen by hackers. Although the vaults were encrypted, EMU has answers to common questions and recommendations related to the breach.
LastPass is an encrypted online password vault. To use LastPass, you pick one secure password also known as your "Master Password" for your “LastPass Vault” login. This is the last password you will ever have to remember. With it, you can access all of the passwords stored in the vault that you use for other web sites.
You can configure LastPass to auto-fill your username and password for web sites that you use frequently. LastPass allows you to pick longer, more secure passwords that are unique for every web site or system that you use so that if any one password becomes compromised, your exposure is limited to that single password.
Benefits
- Create strong, unique passwords for every website
- Passwords automatically fill-in when logged into LastPass
- Passwords available on your smartphone through the app
- Encrypted and protected in the cloud, accessible to you wherever you are
