University Licensed/Approved AI Tools

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI or AI) based tools can be quite useful in an academic environment.  They allow us to generate and revise content with amazing efficiency. GenAI tools are not without risks, however. Because of these risks, EMU sensitive data should only be used in AI tools approved for university use, in accordance with EMU’s AI sensitive data guide.

Note: Uploading EMU sensitive data to any personally licensed AI tool is prohibited.

EMU provides several AI tools for your use. Because these tools are licensed by the university, they do not use your data to populate sources that may be publicly accessible by other AI tool users.

EMU Approved AI Tools - You must log in to your EMU account to use these services:

Note:  Faculty members should also consult the Faculty Development Center and Research Compliance Office for guidance on classroom and research use respectively.
