Credit Card Information

Credit card account ownership contains personally identifiable financial and other information. The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard is based on security standards in programs developed by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. PCI establishes comprehensive security standards for all merchants and service providers dealing with the storage, transmission, or processing of cardholder data – consumer credit card information. Examples
  • A student uses their credit card to pay a bill from the University at the Cashier’s Office in Pierce Hall
  • A student uses a credit card to pay for a snack and newspaper at the Lobby Shop in the Student Center
  • An employee uses a credit card to pay a University parking fine at the Parking Division office
