MeL: New Look, New Databases

mel logoMeL, the Michigan eLibrary, will debut a new look and a new set of databases October 1st, 2018.

MeL is best known for MeLCat, which allows the EMU community to request items to be delivered from many other libraries in the state. The only change to MeLCat on October 1st will be a new look.

MeL also provides all Michigan residents with free access to a set of library databases with online articles, books, and other research information. Some of the EMU library's databases are provided by MeL. On October 1st, there will be major changes to MeL databases, as the main databases will be provided by a different vendor (EBSCO). We will be updating the list of databases on the EMU library website to reflect these changes.

Most EMU Library databases are not provided by MeL, and will not be affected by this change.

Note 10/2/2018: There have been delays in gaining access to the new EBSCO content, resulting in some non-working links.  MeL is working on updating our access.
