The EMU Library wants to know how textbook costs affect you and whether efforts to reduce course reading costs have a beneficial effect on your educational progress. The EMU Library Textbook Affordability Initiative aims to help students with textbook expenses by assisting instructors in discovering high quality course readings that are free or low cost and by providing library ebook versions of assigned books when possible. You can assist the Textbook Affordability Initiative by completing this brief survey.
The survey is online, anonymous, and should take 5 to 10 minutes to complete. We will ask questions related to your purchase of course reading materials and the effects of those costs on you. We will ask demographic questions to help us understand if the cost of texts impact students differently. Most questions are multiple choice, but the survey also provides many opportunities for you to provide further comments and we would very much like to hear student perspectives.
To thank you for your time completing the survey, you can choose to be entered in a drawing to win a $100 Amazon gift card. Link to online survey: https://emich.libwizard.com/f/textcosts
