Marilyn Saker, professor of music theory, coordinates the music theory and aural skills program at Eastern Michigan University. She teaches first and second year theory and aural skills classes and serves as the coordinator for the Alexander Computer Lab and Music Resource Center. Prior to her appointment at EMU in 1993, she held positions at Northern Michigan University and Iowa State University.
Marilyn Saker is Bruce Benward's coauthor for the seventh, eighth and ninth editions of his best-selling textbook series, Music in Theory and Practice, published by McGraw-Hill. She is a board member for the Macro Analysis Creative Research Organization (MACRO) and is the editor/publisher for the organization's scholarly journal, Musical Insights.
