School of Music & Dance News

Website: A NEW School of Music & Dance site is in progress and will launch in June!

Distinguished alum: The Music Therapy Program congratulates one of our most esteemed alumni—Yuji Igari, '98—director of music therapy at Nagoya College in Toyoake, Japan. Igari Sensei is first music therapy alumni to receive tenure and a promotion to associate professor. We are proud Yuji can call EMU his alma mater. We know he's making a big impact in the field.

Congratulations Thomas Torrento! Regional Teacher of the Year. Read more here.

Now enrolling: The EMU Community Music Academy is enrolling for early childhood, preschool and beginning piano classes, as well as private piano. Fall semester begins mid-September. Enroll now!

Revised master's in music education: It's not too late to join us this fall to pursue your master's degree. Our newly revised program has many advantages, particularly for those who don't want to give up their jobs or their summers.
