AIM: Artists Inspiring Musicianship

Eastern Michigan University Bands celebrates their 45th annual workshop event: AIM: Artists Inspiring Musicianship. AIM is a day designed for high school students like you. Join us and be a part of this special event.

At AIM, you will have the opportunity to attend an instrument-specific workshop presented by EMU’s outstanding artist-teachers. In addition, you will join other instrumentalists to attend a break-out session chosen from a menu of general musicianship topics presented by our faculty.

The focus of the day will be on helping you achieve the highest level of musicianship and artistry on your instrument, but you’ll also have lots of fun and meet students from other high schools throughout Michigan and Ohio.

At the conclusion of the day you will enjoy dinner on us and receive a FREE ticket to our BANDORAMA concert extravaganza, where you can join your friends and family at 7:00PM at Pease Auditorium for a fantastic show featuring the EMU Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and Marching Band.

Auditions for the select 2018 EMU Honors Band will take place during the morning of November 18, prior to the AIM day events. If you would like to audition to be part of this elite honors band, held in January, please indicate your interest when you complete the AIM online registration.

If you have further questions, please contact us. emu.bands@emich.edu or by phone at (734) 487-1430

So AIM high, take action, get registered, and come be inspired! We look forward to seeing you on November 18!
