Wind Symphony

Dr. Mary K. Schneider, conductor

The Eastern Michigan University Wind Symphony is a select group of 60 highly skilled musicians who perform the finest in wind literature. Membership in the group is obtained by audition during the first week of classes in both the Fall and Winter Semester. The Wind Symphony continues a tradition of wind groups that have earned accolades from such distinguished composers as Karel Husa, Vincent Persichetti, Anthony Iannaccone, Dan Welcher and John Corigliano. The Wind Symphony tours throughout Michigan each Spring.Congratulations to the Wind Symphony for their outstanding performance at the 2011 Michigan Music Conference.
